Part of the Palo Alto community – Not Just a Salon

For 21 years, Hair International has been committed to giving back to the communities that have supported our salon so consistently.

Just a few of our programs include: Spark Apprentice Program

Spark matches middle-school students with employers who act as mentors and encourage 12 and 13 year-olds, those at the highest risk of dropping out, to stay in school. For the last 5 years, stylists at Hair International have been teaching youngsters about what it means to own and operate a small business. During their 6 weeks in the salon we discuss why college is so important in achieving goals. Children blossom into confident teenagers who believe in themselves and start dreaming about what they can accomplish with their lives.

Local high school fashion shows:

Woodside priory:
In May 2009, 2010 and 2011 Hair International sent 5 top stylist to create runway hairstyles for the senior class fashion show, making 65 students and parents look cat-walk ready!

Menlo School:
Also in May 2008 and 2011, the same 5 styling superstars prepared 75 Menlo
School graduating class seniors to walk a fashion-show ramp.

Donations:

For 21 years, Hair International has and will continue to donate services in gift certificate form to any school fundraisers.
